The Run for Home 2014

The Run for Home 2014

Hundreds of supporters teamed up to take part in The Run for Home, raising money for Global’s Make Some Noise.

Taken to a secret location in Milton Keynes, the teams of four were released by Heart presenter Matt Jarvis and challenged to find their own way back to Birmingham.

Using their charm and imagination, teams relied on members of the unsuspecting public to get them back in the quickest and funniest fashion.

The winning team made it to the finish line by hitch-hiking two lifts in just two and a half hours, while other teams made it back on inflatable horses, police cars and even a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party trailer.

The winning team are pictured above with Heart West Midlands’ Breakfast team Ed and Rachel.

Global’s Heart, Capital and Smooth radio stations, who organised the event, said they were overwhelmed by everybody’s support.

The teams raised over £30,000!
