Who we help

Who we help

Global’s Make Some Noise is the official in-house charity of Global, the media and entertainment group.

We support small but brilliant charities across the UK, which help youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity. These charities struggle to get heard, so, we unite 8 of the biggest radio stations in the UK and their 24 million listeners, to give them a voice and raise much-needed funds to support their vital work. By joining us to make some noise, you can help small charities have a big impact

Who we help

Each year, we award grants to specially selected projects up and down the country, which provide vital support for youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity. These grants may fund activities such as workshops for teenagers with cancer, rehabilitation for children with brain tumors or support for young carers. But we don’t stop there.

Whilst delivering life-changing work in their communities, these projects are often small, operating on a shoestring, or tackling an issue that’s not well understood. They find it hard to get heard, so, we give them a voice and help raise awareness via our radio stations and websites. By making more people aware of the brilliant work they do, we hope this will lead to a brighter future for each of the causes.

We also lend our expertise through a series of exclusive training sessions in areas such as digital, sales and marketing. So, in the future, the projects can make more noise themselves. We don’t just give a hand out, we aim to give a hand up as well.
