It’s one of the most talked about music videos of the moment, so we couldn’t resist creating our very own spoof version for Make Some Noise.
Presenters from Heart, Capital, Classic FM, LBC, Radio X and Capital XTRA recently came together to re-create Charli XCX’s ‘Boys’ music video – including Mark Wright, Stephen Mulhern, Roman Kemp, Marvin Humes, Chris Moyles, Aled Jones, James O’Brien and Tim Westwood.
We’re talking football and flowers, balloons and magic, cake and silly string, and of course, a gorgeous French bulldog!
Capital’s Marvin Humes said: “I love the original video, it’s genius and has an epic cast. When I was asked to take part in a spoof version for Global’s Make Some Noise, I jumped at the chance as it’s for a great cause and it was such a laugh. None of us took ourselves too seriously, and I really think we’ve done Charli XCX’s original video justice. I hope that it encourages people to donate and raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise, which does such inspiring work to help disadvantaged young people across the UK.”
LBC’s James O’Brien told us: “All I had to do was read a newspaper and look angry, so frankly, that was not a big challenge. I love Global’s Make Some Noise because it genuinely does seek to recognise and reward the charities that aren’t household names, that don’t get some of the coverage that the big boys in the charities sector routinely receive. They do quiet, important work that you can really feel the benefit of when you go and visit these charities and the gratitude that they display when you hand over the money raised by Global’s listeners is pretty close to beautiful.”
But that’s enough from us – hit play and watch it now!
