At this year’s The Global Awards, 19-year-old Josh from our Make Some Noise charity, The Joshua Tree, took home a very special award.
When Josh was just 5 years old he was diagnosed with leukaemia.
Despite that, he went on to achieve his GCSEs, A-Levels and now he’s studying Fitness and Health at college.
Fourteen years on from his diagnosis, he climbed three of Britain’s biggest mountains to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise.
The VERY award celebrates someone who’s overcome a personal challenge and we could not be prouder that this award was given to Josh.
Josh is the inspiration behind ‘The Joshua Tree’ which is a small charity that was set up by Josh’s parents, Lynda and David and helps families affected by childhood cancer across the North West. The charity works with families and schools to provide support and offers them a wide range of therapeutic and rehabilitation activities.
