Whilst it’s estimated that over 91,000 children in the Liverpool City region are growing up in poverty, KIND have been working tirelessly since 1975 to find new and imaginative ways to help children and their families cope with the impacts of poverty and disadvantage.
By offering educational activities and special support programmes, KIND work to inspire and empower children to help enable them as they make changes in their everyday lives. By working in small groups with high staff to child ratios, KIND have noticed real change and improvement in the children who attend their Out of School programme.
With the help of Global’s Make Some Noise, KIND will continue their Out of School programme, which combines hands-on holiday activities with the existing work of care agencies, to help alleviate pressure on parents and improve confidence, education, health, skills and tackle discrimination.
From offering sport and drama, to nutrition advice and video making skills, the project also includes two weeks of Residential weeklong outdoor learning experiences for disadvantaged children. We can’t wait to help support KIND as they continue to capture imagination and promote teamwork and self-discovery with the Out Of School project.
