WATCH: Jamie Theakston abseiled off The Orbit thanks to YOU!

On Heart Breakfast this week, Jamie and Emma met Nathaniel, one of the young people helped by the XP Support Group – a small project supported by Global’s Make Some Noise.

Nathaniel has an extremely rare condition called Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) which means he is hyper-sensitive to UV light. XP patients, like Nathaniel, lack the ability to repair damage that UV does to their skin and they are 10,000 times more likely to develop skin cancer.  There are only around 150 people in the UK with the condition – and there is currently no cure.

He agreed to do the UK’s highest free-fall abseil to help raise money for Make Some Noise, and Jamie joined Nathaniel to face to his fears. All with the encouragement of Michael Bublé and Emma Bunton!

Thanks to you, Heart reached their £50,000 target to get Jamie abseiling off the Orbit with Nathaniel!

To keep showing your support to Nathaniel, Jamie and Global’s Make Some Noise – text JAMIE to 70070 to give just £5.

That’s not all. Michael Bublé challenged Emma Bunton to walk on fire – but only if we raised £140k!

And you did it – AGAIN! Emma crossed the hot coals like a trooper – all for Global’s Make Some Noise.
