At Global's Make Some Noise, we believe no one should face life's toughest challenges alone.

We fund small charities delivering in-depth, person-centred support to people experiencing some of the UK's toughest challenges.

As the official charity of Global, the Media & Entertainment Group, we harness the reach of Global's radio brands including Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA and Gold alongside our extensive outdoor advertising network to raise awareness, inspire public support and generate funding for small charities across the UK.

Together, we've helped change the lives of more than 248,000 people. Our grants are funded primarily through public donations, with our Charity Partners helping us share the stories that inspire this support.

Becoming a Global's Make Some Noise Charity Partner is about more than receiving a grant. Alongside funding, we work with our Charity Partners throughout the funding period, offering guidance, opportunities to learn and collaborate, and where possible, opportunities to share the impact of their work with our audiences.

As a Charity Partner, you can expect:

- Project funding to deliver in-depth support where it is needed most.

- A collaborative partnership with our Grants Team throughout your funding journey.

- Opportunities to strengthen your organisation through learning, collaboration and skills-building activities.

- Opportunities to share your impact through case studies, photography or other storytelling, where appropriate and with the necessary permissions.

- The opportunity, where appropriate, to contribute to our national fundraising appeal by sharing stories that raise awareness of the issues affecting the people and communities you support.

We work sensitively with Charity Partners to identify authentic stories that can be shared with the appropriate consent. While not every charity or project will feature across Global's platforms, the stories we share help inspire public support and enable us to fund more charities.

We fund projects, programmes and roles that provide ongoing, direct support to individuals and families. Your proposed project must align with at least one of our four outcome areas:

We are looking for projects that create meaningful, measurable change for the people they support.

Before applying, please make sure your organisation:

- Is a UK registered charity with the UK Charity Commission, OSCR (Scotland), or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.

- Has been registered for at least one year with one set of published accounts with the UK Charity Commission, OSCR (Scotland), or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.

- Has an annual income between £30,000 and £1 million.

- Delivers in-depth, direct support to beneficiaries with multiple touchpoints.

- Your charity has a registered bank account in your organisation’s name

- Your charity has a current safeguarding policy and set of procedures

- Your charity can identify a specific programme, area of work, role or project which Global’s Make Some Noise could fund – this can be existing or new

We are accepting applications from charities that we have previously supported with project funding, provided that their previous project funding ended on or before 1 April 2022.

Charities that took part in the Small Charity Week match-funding campaigns in 2025 and 2026 are eligible to apply, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria. 

Here is a list of the types of things we are most likely to fund:

- Staff salaries predominantly associated with direct delivery work

- Programme, sessional, service or project delivery costs

- Equipment, technology, materials or refurbishment costs which are related to direct service delivery work (we cannot contribute to large build projects, fundraising or marketing costs)

- A contribution to running costs/overheads (in contribution to a wider direct-delivery programme)

This list is not exhaustive; we have funded many different areas of work and initiatives. If you are unsure that what you want to apply for meets our criteria, or has a good chance of being funded, contact the Make Some Noise Grants Team at grants@makesomenoise.com.

- Organisations who do not conduct any direct delivery work or whose primary focus is on research or campaigning

- Animal rescue/rehabilitation projects that solely benefit animals

- Faith-based projects supporting the promotion of religion

- Organisations based, or delivering work outside of the UK

- Schools, colleges or higher education institutions

- NHS, other healthcare providers or local authority obligations

- Politically affiliated organisations

- Activities that have already taken place

- Grant-making organisations or activities where funds will be primarily provided to third-parties or individuals

- Fundraising events/activities or fundraising salaries

- Your charity has received a Global’s Make Some Noise grant in 2022 or later*

✔ Focus on the project you are asking us to fund, rather than your organisation.

✔ Use evidence wherever possible, such as research, local data or your own service information.

✔ Be specific about who will benefit and the difference your project will make.

✔ Don't worry about writing style—we're interested in the strength of your project and the evidence you provide.
