Global’s Make Some Noise raises a record-breaking £4.8 million to support life-changing projects across the UK
10 October 2025: Make Some Noise, the official charity of Global, the Media & Entertainment group, has raised more than £4.8 million during its annual fundraising appeal - a record total for the charity.
Marking its twelfth appeal, Global presenters including Amanda Holden, Jamie Theakston, Ashley Roberts, Kem Cetinay and Grado, were all set exhilarating challenges to inspire donations from listeners all this week. From padel to pedalling, snakes and suspension, the money raised will fund vital community projects at small, local charities across the UK, delivering essential support to those facing life’s toughest challenges.
Heart’s fundraising campaign - Heart’s Herculean Challenge - saw Ashley Roberts bravely abseiling down Portsmouth’s 170 metre Spinnaker Tower, Amanda Holden covered with 24 feet worth of snakes - the combined length of a London bus - and Jamie Theakston hoisted 60 metres into the air while suspended from a crane.
Capital Weekender’s Kem Cetinay tackled 24 hours of non-stop padel, accompanied by celebrity guests, fellow presenters and his best friend Chris Hughes.
Over in Scotland, celebrating his first ever Global’s Make Some Noise fundraiser, Heart Scotland Breakfast host Grado took on a gruelling “Granite to Glasgow” challenge, cycling more than 400 kilometres in five days with his hands!
Today, on Make Some Noise Day, presenters from all of Global’s radio brands celebrated together.
Simon Pitts, Group CEO of Global, said: "It’s incredible to be celebrating a record-breaking fundraising total of more than £4.8 million on Make Some Noise Day 2025. The creativity, generosity and energy across this year’s appeal has been inspiring and I’m proud that we’re helping to make a positive, life-changing impact within communities across the UK. A massive thank you to every Globaller and every listener who’s participated and donated.”

This record-breaking figure will make a real difference, funding vital projects that provide practical and emotional support to people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. There’s still time to give and help ensure no one is left to struggle alone.”
