Small Charity Week 2026

Over £2.5 million raised for small charities through Small Charity Week 2026!

Small charities across the UK have received a major funding boost after this year's Small Charity Week match funding campaign raised an incredible £2,597,087 in just seven days.

The partnership between Big Give, Global's Make Some Noise and NCVO brought together 253 small charities raising vital unrestricted funding to support their work in local communities across the UK and around the world.

From 22nd – 29th June, every donation made through Big Give's platform was doubled thanks to more than £1.2 million in match funding from generous philanthropists, foundations and funding partners, including support from Postcode Lottery players.

In total, more than 9,500 people donated during the week, helping charities raise flexible funding they can use where it's needed most. At a time when many organisations are facing rising costs, growing demand for services and increasing pressure on resources, that support will make a real difference.

The campaign also highlighted the power of match funding to help small charities go further. As well as unlocking additional donations, it helps charities reach new supporters, build awareness of their work and connect with philanthropists, foundations and businesses. These organisations are at the heart of their communities, providing trusted, tailored support to people facing a wide range of social, economic and environmental challenges.

A host of ambassadors also got behind the campaign, including Ben West for Beyond, Dame Evelyn Glennie for Music of Life and Wolf Alice's Ellie Rowsell for Flynne's Barn. They were joined by Global presenters Chris Stark, Pandora Christie and Cat Cubie, who also showed their support.

The 2026 campaign builds on a hugely successful first year in 2025, when 189 charities raised £1.89 million in just seven days. With even more charities taking part and more money raised in 2026, it's another milestone for Small Charity Week and the organisations making a difference in our communities every day.
