Amanda Holden’s Big Ride to Work: Cycling for a Cause with The Wild Robot

Universal Pictures’ The Wild Robot supported Amanda Holden's Big Ride to work in October 2024. The objective of the partnership was to position The Wild Robot as a must-see movie, and build familiarity and love with it’s main character, Roz. Much like Roz, the robot, Amanda's challenge celebrated a journey of self-discovery and connections with the world around us.

From her Mum’s house in Bude in Cornwall, to the Heart Studio in London’s Leicester Square, Amanda Holden cycled over 250 miles across 5 days, completing (possibly) the world’s longest commute to work. All whilst raising money for Global’s Make Some Noise, helping us to change lives across the UK.

Along the way, Amanda got a HUGE surprise when she found out that The Wild Robot donated £100k to support her challenge. This donation was a key integration moment for Universal Pictures, which was celebrated across the Heart network, both on-air and on social media. Here’s the moment she found out!

Each day throughout Amanda’s challenge, we delivered co-branded content trails which featured trailer clips from The Wild Robot, and audio from Roz the robot to introduce this key character to audiences nationwide. There were live reads and organic endorsements from Heart Breakfast Presenters throughout the challenge. Digital assets clicked through to the challenge website, which included The Wild Robot trailer and supporting copy, with an external hyperlink to book tickets.
