Grab your trainers and sign up to run the world’s biggest half marathon with team Make Some Noise!
This year, The Great North Run returns to the North East on Sunday 12th September and YOU can be part of it!
Here’s your chance to turn your lockdown running and record-breaking step count into half marathon training. Not only will you achieve something incredible, but by running for Team Make Some Noise you’ll be raising money to help those hit hardest by coronavirus in our communities.
The 13.1 mile route will take you through Newcastle city centre, towards the River Tyne and over the iconic Tyne Bridge, where if you’re lucky, you might get a glimpse of the Red Arrows passing overhead. You’ll then head through Gateshead and onto the final stretch in South Shields where the crowds get louder and louder as they cheer you on the final mile along the sea front to the finish!
Up for it?
We’ll ask you to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £50, and commit to raising £350. As a little thank you, we’ll give you one of our snazzy Make Some Noise running vests, when you fundraise over £100 too.
Please take the necessary actions to ensure your safety and the safety of others at this time. Click here to view the latest government advice when planning your training.
