Hilary Needham has been, and still is, the driving force of this brilliant charity for the past 22 years.

As a youngster, Hilary’s son was diagnosed with an extremely challenging form of Autism. At this time, few people had heard of Autism, and it soon became clear to Hilary that there was a real lack of provision for families such as hers.

So, in 1994, she gathered around her kitchen table with seven other women, and decided to do something about it. Today, the charity is based at their purpose built centre in Essex, where they help over 1,800 families. But, the demand for their services continues to grow.

Global’s Make Some Noise is proud to be able to support the charity’s activity clubs for pre-school children during term time. The sessions incorporate music, sensory and creative fun – and are vital to families to ensure they receive help and support in their youngsters’ early years, which lay down the foundations for the future.

Through the sessions, SNAP hopes these youngsters will develop their sensory and social skills, increase their confidence and self-esteem, and improve communication for a better quality of life.
