The Rosemary Foundation is a charity that provides a hands-on nursing service for patients suffering from cancer, or other life-threatening conditions
The nurses care for the patient and their loved ones in their own home, giving them the chance to live and die in comfort. Care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and continues until life ends, and will continue through the early stages of bereavement for those left behind.
People who have used the service for their loved ones, praise the care, compassion and kindness of the nurses that have supported them
“Mum and I are currently in the process of getting ready to say goodbye to my dad, but The Rosemary Foundation girls have been absolutely amazing and we don’t know where we’d be without them. When they arrive it’s like a warm hug and reassurance we need at this very emotional time.”
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus, the need for the service and care that The Rosemary Foundation provide has increased dramatically. General enquiries have risen from 30 per day, to 255 at the peak, referrals to use the service reached an increase of 47%. Unfortunately, coronovirus has also impacted the charities’ fundraising and they need our support now more than ever, so that they can continue to give patients and their families excellent end of life care.
