This winter could be very different for us all, but many people who were already in vulnerable situations will struggle like never before.
The Global’s Make Some Noise Emergency Appeal is raising money for small charities working tirelessly to help those hit hardest by coronavirus.
This includes people who are homeless, families living in poverty and at risk of going hungry, vulnerable people with care needs, those affected by domestic violence, as well as those experiencing their darkest days with grief, loneliness or mental health problems.
Since the coronavirus pandemic began, we know there are thousands of people in our communities who have been severely affected and in urgent need of support over the winter months.
Through our Emergency Appeal so far, we’ve provided crucial funding to support charities like Sufra NW London, which has seen a 371% increase in demand for food aid, since the coronavirus pandemic began and delivered nearly 20,000 food packages.
Our work has undoubtedly saved lives through the coronavirus crisis. But the demand placed on small charities shows that the need will continue to be there throughout the winter months and beyond.
