The first Global’s Make Some Noise was no ordinary day at Smooth Radio, we’re more used to offering a relaxing music mix! But 2014’s incredible charity event was a day for celebration, fundraising and a chance to dish out a whole lot of exciting prizes.
From playing tennis with former number one sportsman Andrew Castle (one-on-one at Queens!) to seeing Smooth favourite Michael Buble live in Vienna, the calibre was pretty high and the best part? It was all in aid of raising money for much-needed charities in the UK.
Smooth’s studio was bustling with visitors throughout the day too with mid-morning’s Kate Garraway being joined by Smooth Sunday’s Tina Hobley, who gave up her time to take donations in the call centre.
Regional presenters across the UK also got involved, visiting local charities and giving listeners the chance to win luxury holidays and VIP concert experiences.
