To be in with a chance of being a supported charity in 2023, please add your details to our mailing list below to be notified about the next grants opportunity.

For any questions, please contact the Grants Team at [email protected] We’re always happy to help!

Global’s Make Some Noise supports small and local charities working to address the greatest needs in our communities across the UK. We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, feel well, feel included and feel prepared. Become a beneficiary and join our support programme.

Our impact objectives:
  • Providing safety and shelter
  • Supporting physical and/or mental health
  • Developing life skills
  • Reducing isolation or improving inclusion

How our application process works:

There are 3 stages to our application process:

  • Expression of Interest
  • Full Application
  • Assessment Panel

Please note, we run an electronic Expressions of Interests and Applications process through online forms. If you require an alternative way to submit your information for accessibility purposes, please contact [email protected]

Step 1: Expression of Interest

Charities can complete our Expression of Interest form online where we ask you to:

  • Confirm that you meet our basic eligibility criteria
  • Identify which of our key funding outcome areas you address
  • Provide your contact information
  • Provide your charity registration information
  • Select the area your charity delivers support and who you support
  • Opportunity to tell us a little about your charity
  • Opportunity to share a short summary of what you would like to apply for

There is no limit to how many charities can submit an Expression of Interest, but only those who meet our basic eligibility criteria should submit the form.

Step 2: Invite to apply as a beneficiary

Your Expression of Interest will be assessed by our Grants Team to make sure you are eligible for our support. The team then shortlist charities to apply based on how well you meet our funding objectives, the type of project you have indicated you will apply for, as well as other factors. We ensure we have a good portfolio of different causes and geographic spread to represent the areas in which we broadcast as part of Global, the Media & Entertainment Group.

We sadly cannot invite every charity who submits an Expression of Interest to Stage 2. There are a huge number of Expressions of Interest every year and Global’s Make Some Noise can only support a limited number of charities. We work with small charities and know applications require a lot of resource to complete. This is why we shortlist to ensure we give applying charities the best possible chance of submitting a successful application.

Alongside your application form, you’ll be asked to provide documentation such as your safeguarding policy, current financial information and your constitution or governing document.

Your charity and application will be assessed through our due diligence process before moving to Step 3. There are certain issues such as inadequate safeguarding, indicators of fraud or irresolvable financial issues that may mean your application cannot be progressed.

Step 3: Panel assessment

Your application will be assessed by our Grants Panel. This is made up of representatives from Global, Global’s Make Some Noise and external charity sector experts.

We may contact you after our Panel with questions or conditions the panel have set for you.

Our Panel make recommendations for support which then go to our Trustee Board for approval. We’ll let you know the outcome of the process and are committed to providing constructive feedback about your application should you be unsuccessful on this occasion.
