When we invited 19-year old Leanne to speak to Heart, little did she know the surprise we had in store!
Leanne was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in November 2014. From her diagnosis and through treatment, she has been supported by Teens Unite, just one of the brilliant projects we’re proud to work with.
As a huge fan of music, Leanne loves nothing more than going to gigs with friends. But as a result of her treatment, it has often meant that she’s had to miss watching some of her favourite artists perform live.
So, we just couldn’t resist surprising her during her interview on Heart with Stephen & Emma – with a little visit from Ed Sheeran and Jamie Lawson. Leanne is a HUGE fan of Ed and her reaction was priceless!
Leanne and Heart listeners were then treated to a live performance of Jamie Lawson’s top-charting single ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’. Well, one thing’s for sure – Leanne certainly was NOT expecting that!
