Marriott Hotel’s Burns Night raises £110,000 for Make Some Noise

Marriott Hotel's Burns Night raises £110,000 for Make Some Noise

We joined in with the Scottish celebrations!

In January, we headed to The Marriott Grosvenor Square in the heart of London, to mark Burns Night and raise money for our amazing small charities.

For the fourth year running, we were thrilled to be chosen as the official charity for the night, and once again, guests dug deep, helping to bring this year’s grand total to an incredible £110,000.

Taking place at the stunning Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel, guests were treated to a fabulous three-course meal, complete with the ceremonial address of the haggis and a whisky toast. Spectacular entertainment came in all forms, from the soothing sounds of Jazz singer Faye Plunkett, to the bold bagpipes of the Epping Forest Pipe Band. The evening ended with a bang, thanks to a legendary set from drum and pipe covers band, Drums n’ Roses.

Heart presenters Sian Welby and Pandora Christie brought the feel-good as hosts for the evening, representing Make Some Noise and the small charities we support. With the help of auctioneer extraordinaire Ed Rising leading our auctions and fundraising games, we’re thrilled that this annual event raised a record-breaking amount for Make Some Noise.

This sensational evening would not have been possible without the staff from Marriott Hotels who came together to give their time and hospitality expertise, providing more prizes and volunteers than ever before. The transformational amount raised will make a huge difference to the lives of the disadvantaged children, young people and families Make Some Noise supports. Thank you, Marriott Hotels!
