On Friday 18th January, we joined The London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square to mark the Scottish tradition of Burns Night and raise money for Make Some Noise.
We were delighted to be chosen as the official charity for the evening which raised an amazing £101,660! This money will go towards helping small charities supporting disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
We were joined by Annabel Hill, fundraiser from Camp Mohawk, one of the charities we support which provides a play centre for children with special needs and their families across Berkshire. Heart’s presenter Sian Welby was among the hosts for the evening, alongside BBC TV antiques expert, David Harper.
Guests were greeted by a pipe band and treated to performances from rising singer- songwriter, Emily Burns and bagpipe rock band, Drums and Roses.
As well as this, the night included a game of Heads and Tails to kick-off the fundraising and a live auction with some brilliant prizes, such as a luxury chalet stay for 2 in Switzerland and an unforgettable 15-night holiday in Kenya.
A huge thank you to everyone who came and supported Global’s Make Some Noise – what a fabulous evening it was!
