The UK gets loud and proud for Global's Make Some Noise

Global’s Make Some Noise Day 2014 whizzed by in a flurry of excitement with visits from Olly Murs, Taylor Swift and David Guetta, plus some incredible bike pedalling, window washing and live performances all in aid of charity. Over a million pounds was raised, so thank you to everyone who got involved!

The fun wasn’t only for us at Global HQ though – you may have heard supporters making noise near YOU on the day. Up and down the country at 1pm, loud and proud communities clattered, shouted, screamed and honked to raise awareness for Make Some Noise Day.

Here are some of the highlights from across the country:

In Brighton, all the local Town Criers from across Sussex came together to “Make Some Noise” on the stony seafront. Each read a line from one of this year’s most popular songs, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.

Heading East, the Essex All Star Cheerleaders jumped for joy and screamed to “Make Some Noise” in Chelmsford City Centre!

In Cardiff, singers attempted to create the largest male voice choir outside Wales Millennium Centre with 30 different sets of sopranos, tenors and soloists coming together to “Make Some Noise.

Joining people across the country in raising awareness, both Global and charity staff are getting in on the action by Dressing Loud! Why don’t you get involved too. It’ll give you a chance to dig out that Hawaiian shirt you’ve been waiting to wear…
