It was a huge day for music on Make Some Noise Day.
From die-hard rockers to indie lovers, Global’s alternative station had a batch of money-can’t-buy prizes that were snapped up in a matter of seconds.
First up, 90s Brit pop fans were in for a treat as the station revealed a special ‘Evening with Noel Gallagher’ was up for grabs at the Hammersmith Club in November. Noel proved pretty popular, with tickets selling out in under a minute, raising just under £12,000.
We also announced an exclusive, intimate gig by Kasabian at the tiny venue of London’s Garage, which sold out in just a few short hours.
The station’s website also ran a series of auctions on eBay selling some incredible prizes including a VIP trip to see Arctic Monkeys in Brazil, a ‘Golden Ticket’ which grants you access to a year’s worth of live music sessions, a luxury package to four UK festivals next year and an exclusive set by comedian and presenter Josh Widdicombe at your workplace.
Collectively these auctions raised almost £15,000. Not bad for a day’s work, eh?
